Brace for War 6 – Joe Kenworthy V Paul Abdul Rahman

Results:

After a real tough back and forth battle with a couple of near submissions, the ref called a stop to the fight due to Ground and Pound. Sadly Joe didn't get the win but he can hold his head up high. He proved he is at the professional level.

Fight:

Kenworthy had Rahman for the full first round, and right on the bell the Rahman lifts his hand to tap. During the post fight interview Rahman said his vision was going black he was that close. Another near... submission in the second round, and by the third Joe just had very little to give when he got caught in mount. Brutal fight with a lot of people coming up afterwards to congratulate Joe on his efforts including judges, the ref and other fighters.

Assassinz Athletics Australia is proud to support Millennia Martial Arts Academy South Australia's fighter Joe Kenworthy in his professional debut - fighting at 84kg (Middleweight) at Brace for War 6 in Townsville this November! 

Joe's background is predominantly grappling (South Australian Champion). He has also competed in Muay Thai and has worked on his wrestling with Team Quest Head Coach Robert Follis, so he's quite the well rounded Fighter.

Joe's opponent is a very experienced boxer so it will be a classic striker v grappler matchup and we're expecting a very tough fight.
